I had a splash guard dragging on my car and stopped by the closest shop. With no appointment or anything they were able to get me in and out in less than 30 minutes! Thank you Northtown Auto!

Sure thing Kyle! Those splash shields sure sound pretty awful when they drag under the car but luckily a quick and easy fix!

Great service! Northtown Auto Clinic was the only automotive shop I could find to diagnose and repair a parasitic battery draw/drain issue on my SUV. I had gone through 3 batteries in less than a year and eventually pulled the battery to prevent further discharge. My SUV went unused for several months and is now finally back on the road. Thank you!

Happy to help Chris! Electrical problems are so finicky and frustrating but oh so satisfying once they're no longer an issue!

State inspection

I chose this place over many others in the area that were walk ins only because I thought I would fair better with my time if I made an actual appointment. Huge mistake on my part, huge. I dropped my car off at 8 am, they were hoping to get it done or started around 9. So I wait 5 hours before calling for an estimated time of completion. 5 hours for the girl to say oh, oh yeah well there are 2 cars in there now so hopefully they can inspect it after lunch. Truly sounded like they forgot my car was there. Suddenly 45 minutes after I call they have it done and have failed me. Now the moisture in the taillight I get but I know my state regulations and for failing me for the crack in my windshield is ridiculous. It's nowhere near 4 inches from the bottom. To be in my line of sight I would have to be looking BENEATH my steering wheel. So glad they could take 6 hours to fail me for something anybody walking by could have clearly seen and avoided wasting my entire work day. Thank you so much for the quote though, mind if I send you one for lost wages?

Hi Xylina, unfortunately you are misrepresenting the situation. As stated when you made the appointment, you were to drop the vehicle off with us for the remainder of the day, as we were booked up on appointments where you could wait on it. We do not accept walk-ins, your appointment was not for a specific time of day (9am or otherwise), and are legally required to perform inspections to their fullest extent rather than partially in the parking lot for free (pg.7). Your photo also fails to show the nickle sized bulls-eye chip on the passenger side of your windshield. Driver's vision is defined "within the normal swipe of the wiper blades. (pg. 34) " This also includes the passenger wiper blade - we've confirmed this in the past with Missouri Highway Patrol. You are also measuring with the tape from the incorrect location - you are correct that the crack must be located "above a line measured four inches (4") from the bottom of the windshield, (pg. 34)" but it must be measured from where the glass meets the wiper cowel. We actually called and confirmed this with Highway Patrol on your specific vehicle inspection to be sure. We understand if it is confusing; if you have concerns regarding how we inspected your vehicle or inspection legislation in general, we would encourage you to contact Highway Patrol's Troop A at 816-622-0717.
